Prophet Muhammed did not bring, or establish, any new religion. He was instructed to follow the “way of life” of Abraham, so, the message of the Qur’an is the same as was delivered to all other prophets, or messengers, the number of which could be in the thousands, spread out to various areas of the World.
Abraham is said to have been the first to declare: “I submit my will to the Lord of the Universe”, and was by that the first declared Muslim, or submitter.
The line of prophets, or messengers, includes, among many others, all the prophets mentioned in the Jewish and Christian scriptures, until the latest one Muhammed.
Most of the prophets, or messengers, are not mentioned by name, but we can, in many cases, trace their influence through the belief’s implemented in other religions.
Prophet Muhammed received the latest revelations, we know of, from God, and these revelations were assembled into what we now know as “The Qur’an”.
The revelations he received confirmed what the earlier prophets were teaching the people, living in their community and in their period of time.
Of course, all prophets received their revelations in their own language, also the latest prophet Muhammed, as he was an Arab, the language of the Qur’an is Arabic.
This does not mean that we all must be fluent in Arabic to live by the revelations given to prophet Muhammed.
God gave all the prophets the same message, a guide to the best way of life, for human beings. Revelations were given to, probably, many thousands of messengers in many different languages, to many different communities and in many different ways.
All messengers were ordinary people who were influenced by forces of the University, but we understand it as they received messages from the one and only Creator.
The Arabs have claimed sole ownership to the last revelations and invented “scriptures” besides the Qur’an, detailing rituals of worship, and have convinced practically all “Muslims” that it is necessary to pray to, and worship God, in Arabic. Also, the rituals invented by them must be followed the way they instruct.
They have built idols like a stone house, calling it God’s house; a stone enclosed in brass-construction, claiming it to hold the footprints of Abraham; inserted a black stone in “God’s House” to be worshipped by “believers”; a water well claimed to be “holy and having healing power……..
All these idols, among many others, are controlled by Arabs. They decide who can come to worship the idols and who cannot.
Most leaders of “Islam” all around the World, scholars etc., have picked up the thread from the Arabs and created even further distortions and deviations, thereby gaining power over the human followers.
Through these means, Islam has been gravely distorted and misused through centuries and these are the main reasons why “Muslims” today are loosing out in all walks of life as compared to many other communities.
The reality is, that the Qur’an never tells us to worship and pray to The Creator for the sake of the Creator, but for our own sake, to be aware and humble in our lives.
Prophet Muhammed was given the revelations from God over a period of 23 years.
At the beginning his mission was very tough. He had no followers and very few friends. However, little by little, people began to convert to Islam, surely for many different reasons.
Before Islam the Arabs had a large number of idols and were quite disorganized with regards to beliefs and way of life.
There were massive resistance and enemies to the system of Islam, and it took many fierce struggles over the years to gain a large enough number of followers to feel, relatively, safe within the own community.
In the years that followed, after the firm establishment of Islam, many individuals developed very high skills in many sciences, and administrative skills to govern their communities, as the Qur’an emphasized the use of intelligence and the brain.
In the dark ages of Europe, Islam was on its peak. Islam spread throughout the countries of the Middle East, into India, China and the countries in Southeast Asia to the east, and all the way to Spain in the west. Also, many African countries embraced Islam.
The main reason was that Islam was clear and easy to follow and made sense to people.
The vast scientific knowledge of individuals, and groups, within Islam, and other individuals, was picked up by the Europeans, and formed the base for the technological and scientific expansion that brought Europe out of the ages of ignorance. The effects of this development can be seen up until today.
The decline of Islam began when more and more deviations were invented and came into practise throughout most of the vast region under the system of Islam.
Continuous development of deviating inventions has led to the very sad state of Islam we see today.
In somewhat over a period of 1.000 years, Islam has developed from a very small number of true followers to a position of world leaders and turned back again to a very small number of true followers.
Until this development can be stopped, or reversed, Islam will continue to decline, and the followers claiming to be Muslims will continue to suffer.
The small group of followers of true Islam is scattered all over the World, but there seem to be a positive development as more and more Muslims now begin to ask questions and try to find back to Islam, instead of blindly following the “priests” or “imams” of various sects.
It will not be easy, as most of these deviating sects are well established, with a lot of controlling power over the various communities’ members.
The power of the sects is based on religious rituals, and laws.
Some of the Arab countries have established very advanced systems, controlling the population, and are extremely rich. The situation for the common people in some of the countries, controlled by the sects, is very difficult even living their daily life.
Supply of food, freedom of choice, social life, health care, education etc., is very limited.
A few religious leaders, or individuals/families, backed by religious leaders, are controlling the population the way they deem fit. Very often their invented laws, claiming to be from God, give them the same power as slave-owners.
Leaders, and teachers, of communities around the World, claiming to be following Islam, have often close ties with the Arab countries and are using many of the same methods in their own, local, communities.
There has been, and will continue to be, a lot of clashes between the various sects, as they differ in many of their laws and regulations.
Many of the deviating sects are also True Islam’s worst enemies, and will try to stop people from turning back to the real Islam, by any means.
You could say that Islam is back to a point of development similar to the way it was during Muhammeds time, struggling against sects of idol worshippers, but who are now hiding behind the Quran, and the name Islam.
All systems that started out as guidelines from God seem to have developed into, mainly, intolerant religions, worshipping various idols.
The Christians, Jews, Hindus etc. etc. have all gone through a similar kind of development.
Luckily, there also seem to be small groups of individuals in all religions who try to live by God’s laws and guidelines.
Maybe there is hope for a united positive development, sometimes in the future? After all, there is only one Creator of everything and we all have to answer to the same Creator in the end, whatever we call it.
